Red Rocks Community College: Technology within the Gaming Industry

Red Rocks Community College will be hosting a variety of workshops that we allow you to see the future of gaming design and all it's glory. Here is a list of workshops that they will have present:

  • Autodesk Mudbox

    • Ever wanted to play with clay without all of the mess? Autodesk Mudbox is a digital 3D sculpting program which allows you to sculpt, create and texture 3D models.

      In this session, Aron Walter will demo the features inside of Autodesk Mudbox, and present student projects developed at Red Rocks Community College.

  • Autodesk Maya

    • The industry standard 3D modeling and animation program for digital effects, movies and video. Aron Walter will demo Maya’s basic features. Come and learn about animation, basic modeling , particles, and lighting in Maya.

  • Autodesk 3DSMax:

    • The gaming industry 3D modeling and animation standard. Aron Walter will model, animate, and texture Marshmallow Peeps and then melt them before your eyes.

  • iTouch and iPhone Gaming with iTorque Gaming Engine

    • iPhone and iTouch applications and games are the hottest thing in the industry and Ryan Stroup will demo iTorque development for creating games on the iPhone and the iPod Touch.
