Rio Grande IGDA Game Design Challenge

The Rio Grande Chapter of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) will host a Game Design Workshop and Challenge on Saturday, May 24th as part of the National Video Game Association Championship.


Led by local game professionals Luke Nihlen (10th Artist) and Jonathan Whetzel (Sandia National Labs), attendees will participate in a one hour workshop on the principles of game design, then receive the game design challenge.

With three hours to develop a game idea based on the challenge, participants will pitch their idea to a panel from the local IGDA as part of its May meeting. The winning person or team will receive a minimum $100 cash prize.

Eye of Judgment Workshop - Play and Learn

The Colorado Cutthroat Chapter of the NVGA is proud to present the Eye ofJudgment (EOJ) Play and Learn Workshop. Eye of Judgment is the up and coming card game made by Sony and Wizard of the Coast that is playing on the PlayStation 3. We are providing a three day play and learn workshop on all the tricks of the trade for this card game. Whether you are a veteran CCG game player or a PS3 owner wanting to see what EOJ is about this workshop is the place for you. On the Sunday of the SuperCon we will have a tournament and will be giving away booster packs as prizes. You will also have the chance to buy theme decks at a discounted price to help you at the workshop to get you started.
